The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is hosting an online webcast on the electronic logging device (ELD) mandate on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. ET. 
No registration is necessary, anyone interested can just visit www.fmcsa.dot.gov/ELD-event by 12:30 p.m. ET to join.
The online webcast is a live feed of an ELD presentation being made by the FMCSA at a Denny’s restaurant just outside the Davis Travel Center (I-95, exit 33) in Stony Creek, VA.
Anyone in the area can stop by at 12:30 p.m. ET at the Denny’s just outside of the Davis Travel Center at 13306 St. Johns Church Rd. in Stony Creek, VA.
FMCSA will be on-site at that location from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Wednesday, Oct. 11 and Thursday, Oct. 12 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. answering questions about the ELD rule on compliancy, exemptions and more.
The ELD mandate deadline is December 18, 2017, which all commercial motor vehicles must use electronic logging instead of paper logbooks.
